There's Nothin' The Road Cannot Heal

First cup of morning java and a chocolate-chocolate muffin, sunday side-up jazz. Lil' dud is hangin' out with his Dad and to be completely honest, there are very few things I could add to this picture to make the start of this day any better.

So there are loosely made plans to hit the road this morning when Kate awakes. Put some mileage on the runners and start getting my body somewhat ready for the 1/2 marathon. Besides as Conor Oberst lays it down in his song Moab

"there's nothing that the road cannot heal....there's nothin' that the road cannot heal. Washed under the blacktop, gone beneath my wheels, there's nothin' that the road cannot heal."

Maybe by putting in some mileage (ok enough, I live in metricville, km's from now on)...ok so maybe by putting in some km's (doesn't sound as good does it?) I'll be doing my mind some good as well as my body. Very nice.

Afterwards we'll wander downtown to Silk Road and finally pick up some loose leaf tea for the infuser I have yet to use, pick up Mads, swing by Curious Comics to let the kids be kids and for Dad to feel like a kid too. Then it's time to get some new shoes on the not-so-lil' tykes feetsies. Maybe grab dinner downtown and swing back home along the inner harbour, see what's shakin' down there. We manage some of that stuff, I think I can say it'll be a fanspectastical( a Daltonism) day off.

I'll let you know how it goes.
